Two PIA officers suspended for faking documents for US visas

LAHORE – Two officials, including a female, of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been suspended for providing fake documents to get visas to the United States.

According to a private news channel, Deputy General Manager Hassan Qureshi and Assistant Manager Ayesha, who were deployed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, allegedly used fake NOC to get the visas.

Authorities have suspended both officers and launched an investigation against them. Qureshi is also facing another probe pertaining to the disappearance of two catering vehicles.

Earlier this year, a air hostess of the national flag carrier named Fareeha Mukhtar boarded PIA flight PK-789 from Lahore but as soon as it landed in Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, the crew member disappeared mysteriously and never boarded the return flight.

Later it emerged the air hostess had sought asylum in Canada. She was reportedly then staying with former air hostess Mahira who had also disappeared in Canada two years ago and is currently working at a private hotel.
