RAWALPINDI (Staff Reporter) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said the armed forces will defeat the nefarious designs of Pakistan’s enemies eliminating every terrorist from the soil.
While chairing Corps Commanders Conference at GHQ on Wednesday, Raheel Sharif said Pakistan had achieved significant successes in operation Zarb-e-Azb but war against terrorism was complex and requires steadfast and unified response.
Army chief reiterated that all efforts and resources would be employed to bring about lasting stability and socio economic revival for prosperity and wellbeing of displaced people of affected areas.
The conference took a holistic review of internal and regional security situation, including reconciliation in Afghanistan and security of CPEC. Timely and dignified return of temporarily displaced persons was also discussed.
