PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – Director General Ehtesab Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Lt-General (r) Hamid Khan Wednesday resigned from his position.
Hamid Khan was irked by the recent amendments in provincial anti-corruption act, which limited his role as DG Ehtesab Commission.
Under the new amendments, the Ehtesab Commission needs a permission from provincial government to arrest any member of the provincial assembly over corruption charges.
Earlier on Tuesday, Hamid Khan said that PTI led KPK government was taking a Uturn over its anti-corruption policy. He also shared his reservations in a letter to PTI chairman Imran Khan.
