VIDEO: Police, dacoits encounter lead to closure of girls college in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – At least three girls students were injured while trying to secure themselves from a possible attack at the government-run girls college in Rawalpindi, local media reported on Wednesday.

According to report, an exchange of fire took place between car-lifters and police, who later tried to enter into Waqar-un-Nissa Girls College in an attempt to escape, creating fear and panic among the students and their families.

However, security forces reached the scene and controlled the situation.

Although the college building was later searched and cleared by army troops, the panic led to closure of the college.

Police said no incident of terrorism took place in the college.
