Pakistan register second consecutive win in Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2017 by beating Papua New Guinea

COLOMBO – Pakistan beat Papua New Guinea with a huge margin of 236 runs in Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2017 in Colombo on Friday.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 277 runs in the allotted 50 overs after the loss of five wickets. A 212-run opening stand by Ayesha Zafar and Javeria Khan helped Pakistan to score 276 runs. Ayesha Zafar scored 115, Javeria Khan 100 and Muniba Ali 25.

In reply, the women in red shirts were under pressure from the start and the whole team crumbled at 40 runs.

Pakistan flattened their opponents in 24.5 overs to win their second consecutive match of the tournament.
