ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – All Parties Conference held to discuss the concerns of several political parties and the route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa is underway in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the conference has been organized by Balochistan National Party (Mangal). Senator Jahanzeb Jamaldini briefed the conference about importance of Gwadar and natural resources of Balochistan.
Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Leader of the House in the Senate Raja Zafar ul Haq, Sardar Akhtar Mangal, Moulana Fazalur Rehman, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Afrasiyab Khattak, Farhatullah Babar, Liaqat Baloch, and former chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Maalikis attending the conference.
In his remarks during deliberations in the conference, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said energy projects worth 7.1 billion dollars will be completed in Balochistan province under China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
He said there are energy projects worth 6.9 billion dollars for Punjab and 11.5 billion dollars for Sindh under the project.
Ahsan Iqbal said coal based projects are being preferred to generate cheap electricity.
