Edhi says no to Zardari s offer for treatment abroad

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Edhi Foundation Chairman and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, who is seriously ill nowadays, has rejected former President Asif Ali Zardari’s offer to treat him abroad.

Senator Rehman Malik of Pakistan Peoples Party paid a visit to Edhi on Thursday and offered to take him anywhere in the world for medical treatment on Asif Zardari’s dime. However, Edhi declined the offer, saying he prefers to get treatment in Pakistan.

“I have told him, if he gives the word, I will take him to any hospital in the world by air ambulance,” said the senator.

Interpreting for his father, Faisal Edhi said, “He insists on treatment in Pakistan, particularly in a government hospital.”

Abdul Sattar Edhi was diagnosed with kidney failure back in 2013.
