HAFIZABAD (Staff Report) – Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that power generation would reach 17,000 MW by 2017 and the duration of loadshedding of electricity will be reduced to a great extent during the summer.
Talking to media at a reception near Hafizabad, he said owing to concrete steps taken by the government, the duration of loadshedding has been reduced from 18 hours to 6/8 hours a day during the past 2 years.
He assured that the duration of electricity loadshedding would be further decreased during this year.
