Iranian President to visit Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani will visit Pakistan later this month.

Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost said this during a meeting with Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain in Islamabad.

The Minister said Pakistan highly values its fraternal ties with Iran and considers it a close friend and neighbor.

The Iranian Ambassador said his country intends to expand economic cooperation with Pakistan and carry out joint efforts in the fight against extremism and terrorism.

Mehdi Honardoost called on Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad today.

Matters regarding upcoming visit of the Iranian President to Pakistan  and  enhancing Pak-Iran economic cooperation  were discussed.

The Iranian ambassador expressed confidence that the two countries will supplement each other’s efforts for achieving economic prosperity.
