Lahore (Staff Report) – While Leonardo DiCaprio fans are all jubilant following the actor’s Oscar win and celebrations still continue around the globe, the Mirpur assistant commissioner is probably biggest Leo fan among Pakistani bureaucracy who threw a tea party to his office staff to mark the achievement.
An official memo of Assistant Commissioner of the Inland Revenue department in Azad Jammu Kashmir Rizwan Ahmed being circulated online suggests that a permission was sought to celebrate the long awaited Academy Award of Leonardo DiCaprio.
The memo even said that “Leo should have been awarded Oscar for his role as Howard Hughes in The Aviator, or Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street, or for his roles in The Departed, Gangs of New York and Django Unchained.”
And most interestingly, the memo also carried excerpt from DiCaprio’s Oscar speech in which he said “…don’t take this planet for granted, I don’t take this night for granted,” adding the staff will be a given chance to listen to the historic words as well.
When approached for comment Rizwan Ahmed said that Leonardo DiCaprio was a great inspiration for him as the Titanic star was nominated for Oscar award for four times and he never lost faith to win it.
