KARACHI – Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal asked the federal government to call an All Parties Conference (APC) for addressing the issues of Balochistan province.
Speaking at the “Meet the Press” program here at Karachi Press Club, the former Balochistan chief minister said, “We would neither take into account anti-Pakistan elements to impose their agenda on us, nor do we impose our ideas on anyone”.
The approach of such elements was incorrect and they would sooner or later realize it, he added.
Sardar Akthar Mengal said, “We support all the development projects in Balochistan which would provide employment opportunities to the youth in the province.”
The BNP leader said, “We differ from the designs and modus operandi of negative elements and would not permit them to impose their agenda.”
Replying to the journalists’ questions, he said talks in a democratic manner were necessary to address genuine grievances. However, he made it clear that his party would not support violence in any form.
