MOSCOW (Staff Report) – As many as three suicide bomber Monday targeted a police station in Russia’s North Caucasian Federal District of the southern Stavropol region, said Russian news agency Interfax.
According to officials quoted in the media reports, one of the bombers blew himself while two others were killed by the security personnel present on the site.
As a result of blast, the building of the police station is said to have sustained damages. However there are no reports of any civilian death in the tragedy.
“The militants who attempted to attack the Novoselitsky police station were liquidated today. There have been no casualties [among civilians and police],” a statement by Russian Interior Ministry said.
