ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – As many as 11,000 internally displaced families (IDPs) of tribal areas would return to their houses in areas cleared of terrorists, during the first phase that starts today.
All arrangements have been finalized for return of the temporarily displaced persons of North Waziristan and Khyber Agency from Wednesday.
Each family will be provided cash assistance and six months ration.
Chief of the Army Staff Genral Raheel Sharif had chaired a high level meeting to review the arrangement made for easy repatriation of the IDPs during his visit to Corps Headquarters Peshawar.
Around 3 million tribal people had fled the areas when Pakistan army started a military operation in North Wazirastan and Khyber Agency, strongly held by militants previously, after the peace talks failed with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
