ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, on Wednesday, said the Rangers’ raid at Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) headquarter is totally in compliance with the law.
The minister, while talking to media persons, categorically refuted the concerns raised by MQM over the raid. “MQM has been demanding for a military operation in Karachi for the sake of peace in the city”.
Nisar declared that the raid was conducted on the basis of a intelligence report that said the wanted criminals were hiding at Nine Zero. Rangers acted as per laws and regulations, he added.
He said that all political parties were taken into confidence before the target operation launched in the port city. MQM should let the law pave its way, the minister maintained.
Earlier Rangers raided MQM headquarter, the party which strongly holds Karachi, to arrest noted criminals and bewitched a large cache of arms and ammunition that is believed to foreign made.
The raid sparked heavy protests throughout the Karachi and few other cities also, whereas at least one person was also killed during the assemblies, the media reports said.
