LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan on Friday announced to send its cricket team for play World Cup T20 in India, after a foolproof security assurance from Indian government for the mega event.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali has allowed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to send cricket team to India to participate in the ICC World Twenty20, Chairman Executive Committee PCB Najam Sethi said this after meeting with Interior Minister in Islamabad.

He said that the decision has been taken in the wake of solid assurances made by West Bengal Chief Minister and other Indian officials about the security of our team.
“The team will leave for India via Dubai tonight. All the preparations for the team’s departure are completed”, Sethi said.
On the basis of pukka assurances from the Home Ministry of India & CM Bengal, Ch Nisar has granted permission to PCB to send Team to India.

Later addressing a news conference in Lahore, PCB Chairman said the team will leave today Friday, and reach Kolkata tomorrow.

He said the team will not be able to play the first warm up match due to its late arrival there. However, the team will play its warm-up match with Sri Lanka.
