Sheikh Rashid’s security boosted after life threats

RAWALPINDI (Online) – Security of Awami Muslim League chairman Sheikh Rashid and around Lal Haveli has been beefed up in the wake of life threats to the former Railways minister.

The Punjab Special Branch has written a letter to Rashid informing him about the threats to his life, advising him to avoid venturing out unnecessarily.

The letter said that terrorists could target him on the pattern of the attack on former home minister Punjab Shuja Khanzada.

The letter has asked Rashid to avoid travelling unnecessarily and inform the local administration before visiting areas so that his security could be stepped up.
