CUDDALORE: A newly-wed bride allegedly killed her husband by hitting his head with a grinding stone, upset that he was not handsome, in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu, The Times of India reported.
It is reported that the 22-year old woman, who got married about a week ago, attacked her husband brutally last night in their house following a brawl.
Police claimed that the wife started hating her husband, who was a wood sculptor by profession in his mid 20s, because her friends and relatives said he was not beautiful and not a match for her.
After killing the man, the woman came out of her room and cried saying someone has killed her husband. However, after investigation the police arrested her.
She was produced before a local court which sent her on judicial remand.
