ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected the application filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan seeking the suspension of National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
The PTI chairman had filed an application requesting the ECP to suspend the National Assembly speaker for election rigging because the case for NA-122 is under hearing in an election tribunal.
Today, the ECP rejected Khan’s application, stating that the commission has no authority to suspend the Speaker before the judgment by the concerned tribunal.
