Ban Ki-moon telephones PM Nawaz, urges to play role in resolving Saudi-Iran tension

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on late Friday telephoned Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and asked him to use his good offices to find a solution of the prevailing tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Ban Ki-moon said Pakistani PM enjoys good relations with both the countries and can play a vital and pivotal role in this regard.

The Prime Minister briefed the Secretary General about his visits to Iran and Saudi Arabia.
