LAHORE – Amna Ilyas, a top Pakistani model has been the latest target of slut shaming as haters troll her on her Instagram featuring some very beautiful images of her.
It all started when Amna shared photographs from her recent photo-shoot of gorgeous sarees by a local brand. As soon as Amna shared the photographs, praises flew by from every direction.
However, disturbingly the praises were marred by the catcalls and slut shaming phrases that the model received on being dressed ‘inappropriately’.
One user even brought up the latest issue that is plaguing the country at the moment: the rape of minors and thus victim blaming.
However, some sanity prevailed as some users jumped in to take care of this specific problem.
When some people further brought religion into the discussion, others tackled the problem with poise.
Yet again, it is the age old question. How can we keep slut shaming women and not work on self development. How long will this disgusting part of everyday regime go on?
