ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says the government is endeavouring to expand tax net to strengthen national economy.
He was talking to a delegation of Engro-Fertilizers in Islamabad on Sunday. The Finance Minister said all departments should play their role in achieving the set targets.
He said agriculture sector carries a great importance in national economy and the government is also making all out efforts to facilitate the farmers by providing them necessary inputs as well as loans on soft terms.
Ishaq Dar appreciated the role being played by the Engro-Fertilizers in fulfilling the requirements of the agriculture sector.
The delegation congratulated the Finance Minister for settling the issue of withholding tax with businessmen.
