ISLAMABAD – The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has taken suo-moto notice of the incident in which a stage established for the recording of a television show collapsed in Islamabad.
According to media reports, the Chief Justice has sought report from the chief commissioner and Inspector general police, Islamabad within the next 48 hours regarding the tragic incident.
Reportedly, one woman was killed while around 100 people were left injured on April 28 after the seating area collapsed during a musical event staged for an ARY program recording ‘Eidi Sab Kay Liye’Â in Bahria Enclave Islamabad.

The injured were rushed to the Polyclinic and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital but the television channels did not cover the story for days. However, they  began started reporting the event after the ensuing social media outcry.
