KARACHI – Imprisoned Karachi mayor and prominent leader of MQM Waseem Akhter has been granted bail by the Anti-Terrorism court pertaining to provocative speech case here on Saturday.
The case against Waseem had been registered in Super Highway police station, however he has been granted bail against a surety bond of Rs. 25000.
Waseem was detained in July regarding Dr Asim terror facilitation case. As many as 39 cases had been registered against Waseem, but now he has been granted bail in 38 cases. He was elected Karachi mayor from behind the bars and is still running the office through jail.
