Shilpa Shetty’s father passed away Tuesday around 9 am, at his Versova residence, according to sources.
It was further added that he suffered a cardiac arrest, and his last rites would be conducted on Wednesday morning.
Surendra was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Mr. Shetty is survived by his wife Sunanda and his daughters Shamita and Shilpa.
He was seen on the small screen last year when he came on the sets of reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’ with Sunanda and Shilpa to cheer Shamita towards the finals.
