ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership has nominated Qasim Khan Suri as the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly on Monday.
The decision was made after the members of 15th National Assembly took the oath of their office, pledging allegiance to the country and its public.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief and in-waiting Prime Minister, Imran Khan, chaired a party meeting after the swearing-in ceremony and nominated Qasim Soori to fill in the slot of National Assembly’s Deputy Speaker.

Suri hails from Pakistan’s land wise biggest province, Balochistan and he thanked PTI chief for nominating him.
‘I will try to focus Balochistan to solve its issues,’ said the anointed Deputy Speaker.
Earlier, the party had nominated Asad Qaiser for the sot of Speakership. The elections for the said posts will be held on Wednesday through secret ballot.
The members of the 15th National Assembly took the oath of their office on Monday which was administered by former Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq.
