KARACHI-Sindh civilian government and Pakistan Rangers have agreed to continue Karachi operation until terrorism is weeded out completely from the city
This was decided in the last apex committee meeting which was attended by Rangers DG General Bilal Akbar and Karachi Core Commander Naveed Mukhtar. Sindh Information Advisor Maula Baksh Chandio disclosed that the meeting was held in a light mood.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, core commander and Rangers DG exchanged gifts during the meeting. The CM presented a Sindhi cap, Ajrak and a music album to DG and core commander.
Chandio said that good relations should be maintained between politicians and th army. He added that the army, Rangers, Sindh Police and the public have worked very hard to restore peace in the city, and that they had made many sacrifices in this regard.
Responding to a query, Chandio said that no U-turn will be taken after December 27, a deadline on which Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has announced his intention to hit the streets if the incumbent government did not accept his four demands.
