Chaudhry Nisar lambastes Altaf over ‘provocative speech’

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Taking an exception to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain’s Sunday speech, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said provocation by MQM chief was touching its limits.

Terming Hussain’s remarks unacceptable and condemnable, the ministry said: “We have shown enough patience but now the time has come to contact UK,” he said.

He said that mudslinging on security forces could not be allowed. Chaudry Nisar Ali Khan said security forces were bearing the brunt of Altaf Hussain’s anger and desperation, Geo News reported.

“It seems the rope is being tightened around Altaf Hussain over his deeds in the UK,” he said adding that Pakistan, its army and Rangers are not in any way responsible for the circumstances Mr Hussain was faced with.

He said the Urdu-speaking community is civilized and educated while Altaf Hussain was making the community a subject of ridicule by using foul language.

The interior minister said the MQM chief used exactly the same language about the events of 1971 that India has been using.
