Aga Khan deeply grieved over attack on Ismailis

PARIS (Staff Report) – Prince Shah Karim Al Hussaini Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of Ismailis, on Wednesday expressed deep grief and shock in the wake of an attack on a bus carrying members of the community which left 45 people dead earlier today.

“This attack represents a senseless act of violence against a peaceful community. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the families of those killed and wounded in the attack,” the Aga Khan said.

He noted that the Ismailis are a peaceful global community living in harmony with other religious and ethnic groups in many countries across the world, including in the Muslim world.

Earlier at least 45 people including 16 women were killed by the unidentified assailants in Safoora Chorungi area in Karachi.
