LAHORE – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore distributed cheques of Rs138 million among 180 victims of Model Housing Enclave during a ceremony on Friday.
Addressing the participants, DG NAB Shahzad Saleem said the bureau has been taking measures on the emergency basis to compensate the victims of housing scams.
“NAB has already returned Rs240 million to the victims in May 2018,” he added.
Saleem requested people to thoroughly check the documents and also get them verified before buying a house or a piece of land, adding that the housing society owners were befooling people by showing them the fake maps.
He requested the masses to trust NAB and do not be get hoodwinked by the defrauders.
