Man Guns Down Mother In Law Father In Law Over Estranged Wife Dispute

RAWALPINDI – A man shot and killed his mother-in-law and father-in-law at the doorstep of their home over a dispute concerning his wife’s estrangement in the Kotli Sattian area.

According to the police, Ghaffar Ahmed said that he was at home with his parents and uncle when his brother-in-law, Tauqeer, came to the door. His sister stayed at their home for the past 10 months due to her estrangement from Tauqeer. Tauqeer asked for his in-laws, who were also his uncle and aunt by relation, to come outside, stating that he wanted to discuss matters regarding his wife and children.

When they asked Tauqeer to come inside and talk, he refused. When Ghaffar’s father, Abrar Ahmed, and mother, Waheeda Parveen, went to the door, Tauqeer pulled out a pistol and began shooting at them, injuring both. Tauqeer then fled the scene while firing.

Ghaffar Ahmed further explained that while he and his uncle were taking his parents to the hospital, both succumbed to their injuries. Ghaffar added that Tauqeer had been abusive and violent towards his sister, Anila, which is why she had left him and come to her parents’ house with the children. Tauqeer was upset about this and took this action with the advice of his parents.

DSP Kotli Sattian, Abdul Aziz, stated that a case has been registered, and an investigation has begun. The suspect will be arrested soon.”
