KARACHI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa made a one-day visit to Karachi on Wednesday.
The chief is attending a meeting at the Corps Headquarter where he is being briefed over the Karachi operation, the ISPR said.
Gen Bajwa visited Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum where he laid a floral wreath and offered prayers.
The army chief will also visit the Corps Headquarters where he will be briefed in detail about the ongoing Karachi Operation and security situation of the metropolis, ISPR said.
This is the first visit of General Bajwa to Karachi since assuming command.
