KARACHI- Imran Khan on Thursday wore a ‘Jinnah Cap’ presented to him by Karachi Bar before his address at Jinnah auditorium and his pictures are breaking the Internet. While some Twitteratis immediately began drooling over Khan’s attire, others were a little too harsh on Imran for ‘copying’ our beloved Quaid.
Abdullah, a Twitter user, couldn’t contain his excitement seeing Imran Khan in Jinnah Cap.
How long i’ve waited to see you in a Jinnah cap, Khan saab!

Syeda Arfa Kazmi, a PTI supporter, may just have cried while listening to Imran’s address.

Fazil Jamili, a PTI voter, compared it to the re-birth of Jinnah Cap and of Pakistan,

People tried to link Khan’s views on ‘liberals’ with him wearing the cap. We’re not sure what the link is, but “burn on Thursday” is something we all can relate to.
Imran Khan in Jinnah cap is the kind of burn professional liberals needed on a random Thursday.

Aaliya Javed’s witty response and the comparison she drew between Khan and Mr. Brown from ‘Mind Your Language’ won us over,
IK wearing a jinnah cap.I don’t why but he looks like an older version of Mr Brown frm Mind your language. Mr Brown wearing Ali Nadeem’s hat

Faisal-ur-Rehman was quick to call it a good omen.

Asad made it easier for news producers to come up with the headlines.
Kaptaan’s Jinnah Cap will be trending & in headlines today, tomorrow… for a week.

Of course, there was criticism too.
Irum Azeem Farooque brought up animal rights, specifically the fate of the lamb who died so that Khan could wear the cap.
Imran Khan meme-d his way into our hearts by posting the most hilarious tweet.
When you aim for a kaali sherwani but settle for a jinnah cap… https://t.co/nI7FgvIwSV

Omair Khan opened many closed doors just with one tweet.
“Gen. Kayani also wore a Jinnah cap. My God, the boys are behind this.”

There was cultural debate too.
Jinnah Sb wore Karakul/Qarquli cap known as #Jinnahcap and now Imran Khan is wearing Jinnab cap ?. Someone should know, Karakul cap is not our culture cap. But some people always ignore their own culture. Why? ?
