Karachi carnage: Business activities closed in Sindh

KARACHI (Web Desk) – A pall of gloom hung over Karachi where day of mourning is being observed against Wednesday’s carnage that left 45 members of Ismaili community dead in the city, local media reported on Wednesday.

Business activates remained closed in most parts of the city, with thin public traffic on roads, as education institutions, including University of Karachi and Federal Urdu University, postponed papers scheduled for today.

All the missionary schools also remained closed.

As per media reports, businesses also remained closed in others cities of Sindh, including Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Nawabshah. The trade organisations across Sindh have already called for cessation of all commercial activities.

Pakistan’s national flag will fly at half mast today as the grieving nation mourns Safoora carnage to express solidarity with the victims.
