PESHAWAR – One cop was martyred and four others injured after a group of terrorists attacked the Bannu Police Lines on Monday.
An exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists is underway while injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Reports said several terrorists infiltrated the police lines, ensuing heavy gun battle. All roads leading to the police lines have been closed.
In the retaliatory firing by Bannu police and security forces, three terrorists were killed, while one police officer was killed and four others were injured.
Meanwhile, security forces have initiated a search operation in the areas surrounding the police lines to apprehend suspected individuals.
