KARACHI – The Sindh government is set to present its sixth consecutive annual budget involving over Rs 1 trillion for the upcoming financial year 2018-19 on May 5.
A press release issued by the government on Saturday said, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who also holds the portfolio of the provincial finance minister, will present the budget in a special session of the provincial assembly.
The Sindh Finance Department has sent a circular in this regard to departments concerned including federal Ministry of Finance and provincial finance departments, informing them about the schedule.
The chief minister has called a meeting of his cabinet on Monday when important matters of the government will be discussed.
Earlier, Murad Ali Shah had presented a budget of Rs1.043 trillion for the fiscal year 2017-18 on June 5, 2017.
