KARACHI – Pakistan Rangers have changed their new uniform for all ranks deployed in Sindh province and its capital Karachi.
According to a statement issued by the paramilitary force, the changes will take effect from April 30 2018.
The statement also carried samples of old and new uniforms in order to enable the people to identify the personnel of Sindh Rangers.
Earlier this month, the Sindh government extended the special powers of the Sindh Rangers under Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 in Karachi for an additional three months.
Rangers and police had launched an operation in Karachi on September 5, 2013 following directives of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the wake of the rising incidents of terrorism and street crimes in the city, which included target killings and extortion.

During their campaign, the police and the paramilitary forces have established peace in capital Karachi, home to 20 million people and commercial hub of the nuclear armed nation.
