ISLAMABAD – The election for leader of the House will be held on Friday. This was announced by the newly-elected Speaker Assad Qaisar.
He said nomination papers for the election can be filed with the National Assembly secretariat by 2:00 pm on the day of the election.
The Speaker will in the presence of candidates or their proposers and seconders scrutinize the nomination papers.
The election shall be through division as enshrined in the rules of procedures and conduct of the National Assembly 2007.
The House has now been adjourned to meet again on Friday at 3:30 pm.
