Junoon reunites after 13 years with remake of signature song Khudi

KARACHI – Junoon was one of the most iconic music band of Pakistan in the 1990s. Their national songs are still liked and on top of the playlists at events and gatherings. The famous music band somehow got split up but the good news is that all the three musicians of Junoon band reunite this year after a long time.

For celebrating the 20th anniversary of their immensely popular Azaadi album, three of Junoon’s former members namely Ali Azmat, Brian O’ Connell and Salman Ahmad, have come together for a new video for the track Khudi. this song is based on the poetic verses of the great poet Allama Iqbal.

                  Fakhar Zaman
Shaheer Niazi

The video features the Junoon trio in their rockstar element and aims to celebrate some of Pakistan’s outstanding talents such as Laraib Atta (country’s youngest visual effects artist), Shaheer Niazi (Pakistan’s youngest scientist) Ronak Lakhani (philanthropist) and Fakhar Zaman (cricketer, the first batsman from Pakistan to score a double century) and Captain Maryam Masood (Pakistan’s first female pilot to successfully land a flight in Gilgit).

Let’s have a watch at the song’s video:
