LAHORE – Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Manto, based on the life of Saadat Hasan Manto, has been highly awaited ever since the first look of the film was released.
The Nawazzudin starrer movie trailer has recently released the trailer and yes it has left as spellbound. The movie is being directed by Nandita Das and its trailer reflects the excellence of Das.
The trailer begins with Manto (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) standing in a courtroom and questioning why we can’t tell the truth as it is. He explains that his stories are nothing but a mirror to the society. Siqquidi broke the news of Movie’s trailer by sharing the trailer on his Twitter account with a captain stating: “Bol ke lab azaad hai! This independence day, Let’s celebrate the freedom that #Manto stood for “.

The trailer well reflects the philosophy of Manto and how he felt and wrote about ladies and engulfed them in their stories. Saadat was way ahead of his time and his thinking was considered much bold. The film will explore the same as well.
