Bacha Khan University reopens after 26 days amid tight security

PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – Bacha Khan University Charsadda was reopened today after twenty six days.
The university was closed down following terrorist attack on 20th of last month in which twenty two people including students and staff members were martyred and dozens of others injured.

Fazal ur Raheem, Vice Chancellor of Bacha Khan University, welcomed students and their parents.

Talking to media, Fazal said he cannot disclose security plan of the varsity.

He expressed sorrow over what he called a few institutions and individuals which did not condemn the terror attack at the university. However, he refused to name them.

On January 20, 2016, terrorists attacked the Bacha Khan University and killed 19 students, teachers and security guards and also inflicted injury on at least 60 persons.
