Massive search operation in Islamabad park after reports of terrorists presence ahead of Eid

ISLAMABAD – A large contingent of security forces reportedly deployed around a park in the capital city following the reports regarding the presence of terrorists on Thursday night ahead of Eidul Fitr.

The deployment of law enforcement agencies was reported by social media users on Twitter, including Ali Moeen Nawazish, a journalist.

Nawazish wrote, “McDonalds closed down everyone was made to leave #F9Park #Islamabad heavy deployment of LEAs all around green belts”.

Another user claimed that the park had been closed following the reports of 8 terrorists inside the park, adding that LEAs are conducting search operations.

Another user Shaheryar Hassan also confirmed the presence of LEAs at G-9 gate of Fatima Jinnah Park. He further wrote, “Police and rangers present in all surrounding green betls”.

After more than an hour of the reports, a user took to Twitter saying that search operation in the park completed and nothing was found during it.

The launch of a massive search operation in Islamabad in last night has not been confirmed by any official department.
