Making decisions in haste tantamount to burying justice: CJP Saqib Nisar

LAHORE – Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday that the Constitution of Pakistan provides equal rights to every citizen of Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion regarding women judges conference in Lahore, the chief justice said that the Constitution guarantees justice to every member of the country without gender discrimination.

He said that haste in judgment is tantamount to burying the justice, adding, “We are responsible to provide justice to every one as a judge”.

“We want supremacy of justice in Pakistan,” he said, adding that the judges needed to have complete adherence with laws in order to pass the right judgments.

He termed the establishment of model court a good decision, besides urging other court to play their role for the betterment of the society.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Mansoor Ali Khan also addressed the conference gathering, where he said that efforts were being made to bring transparency in judicial system.

He said that there are some difficulties being faced by women in legal profession.

Mansoor said that the courts are shifting on latest technology to facilitate litigants.
