ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The return of temporarily displaced persons of FATA to their homes will begin today (Monday).
According to reports, in the first phase, 25 thousand families of Tehsil Sararogha and Sarwakai in South Waziristan will go back to their homes.
The return of 20 thousand families of Akka Khel area of Tehsil Bara in Khyber Agency will begin from Friday.
Similarly, repatriation of 18 thousand families of Tehsil Mir Ali of North Waziristan will begin from March 31st.
About 45,000 displaced families of South Waziristan and Khyber Agency will return to their homes this week.
In June 2009, South Waziristan residents left their homes when Pakistan Army launched operation Rah-e-Nijat against the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and their extremist allies.
Education institutes in the areas will also reopen in the next three days.
The repatriation process will complete within 30 days.
