United Kingdom- Mariam Mustafa dies after battling with severe injuries which she got in a result of group assault on Wednesday. 18 year old Egyptian engineering student was attacked by a group of 10 British women in Nottingham three weeks earlier.
This caused serious concerns for Egyptian foreign ministry and public. Spokesperson of ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid mentioned in a statement that the ministry will continue to follow up this case until the perpetrators are brought to justice.
According to the sister of victim Malak Mustafa she have seen some of the attackers making fun of her sisters state being in coma over Instagram. When victim was seen alone on Feb 20 she was dragged 20 meters by the attackers, she picked herself up and got on a bus but the assaulters managed to get on the bus. A man tried intervening the situation but was threatened.
In a video by the mother of victim she stated how two of the 10 attackers assaulted her daughter four months ago for no specific reason. Family filed and official complaint after this incident but no actions were taken. According to victim’s mother the attack was racially motivated as the victim had no link to any of the attackers.

Police however is asking everyone to keep an open mind and the department will solve this case just like any other case.
