STOCKHOLM (Web Desk) – Sweden’s Princess Sofia and her husband Prince Carl Philip will welcome their first child together in April 2016, Emirates247 reported.
Sofia, Duchess of Värmland married Prince Carl Philip, 36, in June, six years after they started dating and the couple will welcome their first child together in April 2016.
An announcement from the Swedish Royal Court stated: “Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are delighted to announce that The Princess is expecting their first child. The birth is expected to take place in April of 2016.”
The couple said: “We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child. We are very much looking forward to it.”
According to the announcement, “no changes in the schedule of The Prince Couple’s public engagements are planned during the fall of 2015.”
The baby will be fifth in the line of succession to the Swedish throne.
Speaking about his love for the 30-year-old former reality TV star, Carl previously said: “Above all, she’s beautiful and has beautiful eyes. But she’s also a fantastic person. She’s down to earth and has a wonderful personality. There are so many good things to say about her.
“I don’t think I knew the magic of love before I met Sofia. But ever since I met her, I’ve seen how love can change a person.”
