ISLAMABAD – The National Highway Authority on Tuesday kick-started the first phase of auctioning of 76 vehicles, following the PTI’s government austerity drive.
The auction started at 10:30 am at G-10/4 Football Ground, Islamabad. Communications State Minister Murad Saeed is also attending it.
At the auction, the participants have to deposit a Pay Order of rupees 25,000 as a token money with a copy of CNIC. The highest bidder has to pay 25% of the bid amount at the spot, otherwise, the bid shall be rejected and token money will not be adjusted. The remaining amount can be paid within the next 10 days.
Other than these 76 vehicles a few more including 24 in KPK, 41 in Punjab, 23 in Sindh, 35 in Balochistan and 20 in Gilgit Baltistan would be placed for auction on later dates on their respective stations.
On September 25, Saeed announced the auction of 219 vehicles of NHA during a meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Communication.

Last month, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led federal government had auctioned 62 ultra-luxury PM vehicles for a total of Rs180 millions, as part of PM Imran Khan’s austerity drive.
