LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has arrived at his party’s sit-in, staged to express solidarity with the families of the Model Town shooting incident’s victims.
Earlier, the PAT chief said that the duration of the party’s sit-in would depend on the government’s attitude, adding that if violence takes place then the sit-in would be prolonged till an indefinite time period.
The PAT leader also addressed the participants of the sit-in through a video message and stated that the attendants must ensure cleanliness and discipline.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamaat Islami (JI), Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have backed PAT’s sit-in whereas a number of parties have sent their delegations to take part in the demonstration.
