Govt to act against lynching instigators , says Ch Nisar

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday expressed regret over the burning of two persons and ransacking of public property in the wake of suicide attacks on Churches in Lahore and said the government would take action against those responsible.

The minister said that action must be taken against miscreants involved in vandalising private properties and lynching of the two suspects on Sunday.

Addressing the National Assembly here, the minister said the suicide attacks were the worst form of terrorism, but the burning of the two suspected persons also amount to worst form of terrorism.

Nisar said the terrorists wanted to trigger a sectarian strife and anarchy through attacks on imambargahs and the minorities. “It is our responsibility to give a message of unity in response to any terror attack.”

He said the two major culprits of the Shikharpur incident have been arrested with close coordination of intelligence and security agencies. He said those behind the incident were also on the target list of the security agencies.

He said there should be no politics over Hussain’s execution case. Nisar said the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had awarded Hussain capital punishment.
