Naeem's family rails against lynching, wants accused penalized
KASUR (Web Desk) – The family of Naeem, who was lynched and burnt by an enraged mob after Sunday’s deadly bombings at two churches in Lahore’s Youhanabad area, staged a protest in Kasur on Tuesday, demanding immediate arrest of those responsible.

The family also demanded the body be handed over to them for burial.

Official sources said preparations are being made to hand over the body to the heirs. They added that the DNA test can take up to three days.

Muhammad Saleem filed an application with Lahore's Nishtar Colony Police Station on Monday, saying one of the two men lynched by an angry, was his brother.

"My brother worked as a glass cutter and he had nothing to do with the bombings," Saleem was cited as having said by local TV channels.

They added that Naeem had come to Lahore for work from his hometown in Kasur. He had been running a glass works and repair shop in the area for the past ten years.

"My brother had told me that he would return home as soon as he was done with his work for the day," Naeem's sister told a private television in a sobbing voice.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday issued orders for immediate arrest of all those responsible for lynching Naeem and burning his body. Taking notice of the incident, the chief minister said no one would be allowed to take law into their hands.
