MUMBAI – Bollywood’s producer Ritesh Sidhwani has announced to soon start work on the third installment of Shahrukh Khan’s super-hit thriller series Don franchise.
Sidhwani, who has produced the previous versions, confirmed that his team was just waiting for the right script.
“I am eagerly awaiting but I think we need to find the right script. Are we going to make it? The answer is yes. I don’t exactly know the time”, Ritesh said in a statement on Friday.
Ritesh added that the production was seriously thinking about Don3 and ideas were being formulated.
Ritesh and Farhan Akhtar had bought the rights to the original Don film which was released in 1978, with Amitabh Bachchan as the lead character.
The first two installments of the series, starring Shahrukh Khan, were very popular with audiences when released in 2006 and 2011 respectively.
